Where is Merzouga located in Morocco?

Merzouga is in south-eastern Morocco, about 35 km from Rissani in the Drâa-Tafilalet region, right at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes.

The village sits at the point where Morocco’s paved road network meets the open Sahara, which is exactly why it became the country’s desert-tourism capital. From the village, the first dunes are literally a short walk away — Sundrift Luxury Camp sits right at their foot.
