Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 1 July 2026
These terms apply to stays at Sundrift Luxury Camp, Merzouga, and to bookings made through this website. They are written to be read — if anything is unclear, ask us before you book.
1. Booking
A booking request is made through our contact form, by email or by phone. It becomes a confirmed reservation when we reply confirming your tent and dates. No payment is taken on this website; we will state the total price (per tent, per night, as shown on the tent pages) in our confirmation.
2. Payment
Unless we agree otherwise in writing, payment is made at the camp during your stay, in cash (euros or Moroccan dirhams) — we will confirm accepted methods with your booking. Prices include the tent, dinner and breakfast for the booked number of guests. Activities booked separately (camel rides, excursions, quad, buggy, sandboarding and similar) are quoted and paid separately.
3. Cancellation and changes
Plans shift — we understand. We ask for as much notice as you can give (at least 48 hours before arrival as a courtesy) if you need to cancel or move your dates; contact us and we will do our best to accommodate changes, subject to availability. No-shows without notice may be declined future bookings.
4. Arrival and departure
Check-in is from 14:00 and checkout by 11:00, flexibly applied where we can. Tell us your expected arrival time so we can meet you — the camp is reached by a short drive from the Merzouga road, and we guide all guests in. Free private parking is available at the camp.
5. Desert activities
Camel rides, 4x4 excursions, quad biking, buggy driving, horse riding and sandboarding are outdoor activities in a natural environment and carry inherent risk. Guests take part voluntarily and at their own responsibility, must follow guides' instructions, and are responsible for judging their own fitness to participate. Children take part under their parents' supervision. Activities may be adjusted or cancelled for weather or safety — the desert has the final word, and we don't argue with it.
6. Your stay
We host you in a working desert environment. Please treat tents and equipment with care (damage beyond normal wear may be charged), respect other guests' quiet after the bonfire winds down, don't leave litter in the dunes, and keep to the camp's guidance on fires and smoking. Guests are responsible for their personal belongings; a safe place for valuables is available at reception.
7. Liability
We are liable under Moroccan law for the services we directly provide. We are not liable for events outside our reasonable control — including weather, road conditions, or delays on third-party transport — nor for activities operated by third parties, though we choose our partners carefully.
8. Website content
Content on sundriftluxurycamp.com (text, images, design) belongs to Sundrift Luxury Camp and may not be reused commercially without permission. We keep the site accurate but may correct errors (including pricing errors) and update these terms; the version on this page applies to new bookings.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco. Any dispute will be handled amicably first — mint tea helps — and otherwise by the competent Moroccan courts.
