FAQ · Location & Basics

What languages are spoken in Merzouga?

Berber (Tamazight) and Moroccan Arabic are the daily languages, and most people working in tourism also speak French, English and often Spanish.

You will manage everywhere in English, and French goes even further. Learning a couple of Berber greetings — “azul” (hello) and “tanmirt” (thank you) — earns instant smiles.
