What are the best stops on the road from Marrakech to Merzouga?
The Tizi n’Tichka pass, Aït Benhaddou, Ouarzazate, the Skoura palm grove, the Valley of Roses, and the Dadès and Todra gorges.
Aït Benhaddou’s UNESCO-listed kasbah and the Todra canyon walls are the two unmissables. Most itineraries sleep one night in the Dadès or Todra area and reach Merzouga the next afternoon.
