How long is the drive from Marrakech to Merzouga?

Plan on 9–10 hours of driving, which is why most itineraries split it with a night in the Dadès or Todra gorges.

Leaving Marrakech early, you can reach a gorge kasbah by evening and the dunes by the next afternoon — in time for a sunset camel ride. Driving it non-stop is possible but wastes the best scenery in darkness or fatigue.
