Do I need a 4WD to reach the desert camps?

No — an ordinary car reaches Merzouga and our free parking without trouble, and the camp shuttles guests across any soft sand by 4x4.

The paved road runs to the village and hard tracks continue to the camp entrances. Leave the dune driving to our drivers — that is its own kind of fun anyway.
