FAQ · Planning & Timing
How hot does Merzouga get in summer?
July and August afternoons commonly reach 40–45 °C, which is why summer stays revolve around mornings, evenings and air-conditioned tents.
The dry heat is intense but shifts fast — by sunset the dunes are pleasant and nights are genuinely comfortable. Every Sundrift tent has air conditioning, which makes the midday siesta a pleasure rather than an endurance test.
