FAQ · Planning & Timing

How cold does the desert get at night in winter?

December–January nights can drop to around 0–5 °C, so pack warm layers — the camp provides thick blankets.

Days remain sunny and mild, often around 18–20 °C, so the cold is purely an after-dark affair. A proper jacket for the bonfire and the sunrise climb is the single most useful thing in a winter suitcase.
