Can I see fennec foxes in Merzouga?

Wild fennecs live in the area and are occasionally glimpsed at dawn or dusk — admire them in the wild and skip the captive “photo fennecs” in town.

Those enormous ears sometimes appear at the dune margins at first light, and tracks are common even when their owners stay hidden. Paying for photos with captive animals only fuels their capture — please decline.
